October 20 and 21 Strathalbyn EXPO Stay on for two days filled with workshops lead by international instructors, all here because of the Conference and enlisted to instruct locals or visitors in their rughooking, designing, creative expertise. 1/2 day sessions are affordable. During the conference there will be local wine tastings, a day trip to see the countryside around Strathalbyn, and opportunities to renew old friendships and start new ones, following our mission: “To spread friendship through rugmaking around the world”. Each participant will learn from Australian members local fibre techniques in hands-on sessions.

One new feature at this conference will be SKYPE calls to members who are not able to attend. Daily contact from the site can be set up once you join. International travel has become affordable.

I don’t believe we have a guild in Victoria, there are only a few rug hookers scattered far apart in Victoria. I do have Miriam and Jacqui coming to stay for a few days’ visit in February, and wondered if you would like to join us, you’re very welcome to stay here. Would love to hear from you.
