This freeform design began with a blank backing, unused strips “worms” and an open, creative mind. The result was an eight inch square – “Synergy”.
Sara is a rug hooking teacher accredited by McGown , Amy Oxford and the Western Canadian Rug Hooking Education Association. She is co-director of Puget Sound Rug School with MicheleWise, and is the registrar for Prairie Harvest RugHooking School in Saskatchewan. Judith has taught classes and workshops from Vancouver Island toNewfoundland, and Whitehorse to Oregon.
Her work has been published in three Celebration magazines, as well as Amy Oxford’s books, “Rug Hooking Today” and Susan Feller’s “Design Basics for Rug Hookers”. Awards include being chosen Viewer’s Choice at Nova Scotia Rug School, in the top ten rugs at the Green Mountain Guild show in Vermont and most recently Viewer’s Choice at the Association of Northwest Weavers’ show in 2013.
She believes strongly in good training in a craft and has attended over 40 rug hooking workshops across North America, and in England.
